In Honour of Wonder Woman || Hair Guide

For today’s post I’ll be giving you a quick run-down on how to get Wonder Woman’s signature curls. If you haven’t watched Wonder Woman yet, please do, it was SO GOOD! Gal Gadot has now become one of my favourites actresses and I’ve officially decided to name my future daughter Diana (lol it’s that serious). The production, story-telling and acting, as well as, the chemistry between the cast was perfect. I don’t want to spoil anything but I do want to include this quote by Gal Gadot on her character Diana (Wonder Woman):

“We realized that Diana can still be a normal woman, one with very high values, but still a woman. She can be sensitive. She is smart and independent and emotional. She can lose her confidence. She can have confidence. She is everything. She has a human heart.”

I think this was truly reflected in her character and is what made the film even more beautiful and special. It’s so important to have empowering female figures for young girls and boys to look up to. The story of Wonder Woman took awhile to make it on the big screen but now that it’s here, I can’t imagine it any other way.

With that being said, let’s get into this hair tutorial :)!

How to: Wonder Woman’s Bouncy Curls

  1. To achieve the most similar look, start off with straight / waved hair (Natural or Blow Dried straight). If your hair is thinner, I would recommend teasing your hair at the roots and separating your hair into 3 sections. If you have thicker hair, 2 sections should be fine. I like dividing my hair into horizontal sections.
  2. Now, from your section, take smaller pieces of hair (about 1 inch or less) and start curling with a 1 inch curling wand or a flat iron from the root to the end of the hair. I keep my hair on the curling wand for about 10 seconds but I make sure that my ends don’t stay as long on the iron as the rest of my hair. I also curl my hair both towards and away from the face.
  3. Once you’ve finished curling the bottom sections of hair, continue the same curling process for the top portion but curl varying widths of hair. Again, this will add to the bouncy and effortless effect.
  4. Finish off by gently shaking your hair up at the roots and spritzing some hair spray for hold.Wonder Woman Curls

And you’re done! Effortless-looking, bouncy and strong curls for every Wonder Woman 🙂
